Ferrovial aeropuertos

(Ferrovial) About Us

Content zone

Ferrovial became the leading private infrastructure operator in the world following the acquisition of BAA in June 2006. This made BAA the world's number one private infrastructure operator, with six airports in the United Kingdom including Heathrow, the most international airport and one of biggest in terms of air traffic.

The division manages all the necessary elements to enable the proper functioning of these six airports, which are used by 111 million passengers and serve more than 212 airlines flying to 604 destinations worldwide.

With these credentials, the youngest Ferrovial division was created in May 2007, integrating all airport operation and management activities. Ferrovial Airports has proven management capabilities, contributing value to assets by providing innovative solutions and improving the user service ratios, airline or passenger.

Service excellence for our clients sets us apart. Our goal is to anticipate the expectations of those who use our airports, striving to make their airport experience one to be shared and repeated.

The airport infrastructure industry is characterized by a privatizing dynamic. Ferrovial Airports is ready to respond to this need. Our strategic position is consistent with the long-term investment required for these infrastructures, and a willingness to be involved in the management required by these projects. All of this allows us to think about a future with huge growth potential.

BAA is the flagship business of Ferrovial Airports. This Bristish company focuses its strategy on the airports in the United Kingdom, where it operates Heathrow, Stansted, Southampton, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. These form the core of the division, with 109 million passengers in 2011.
