Aberdeen Airport, located just 6 miles from the city center of Scotland’s third most populous city, was the 2nd busiest airport in Scotland in 2009.

The airport is the gateway to Europe’s energy capital, serving more than three million travellers a year, with flights to around 35 destinations by more than 15 airlines. It is the world’s busiest commercial heliport, transporting more than 500,000 passengers a year in support of the North Sea oil and gas industry.

It has one main passenger terminal, 3 terminals dedicated to North Sea helicopter operations and one small terminal used for oil industry charter flights.
