Since 1996, the Department of Quality, Safety and Environment has been responsible for ensuring quality, managing the environment and guaranteeing employee safety at work. Hence, the company follows the most recent trend of combining all management systems into one.

The policies relating to safety and the environment were born of the Policy on quality, as defined in the Ferrovial Strategic Quality Plan.
