Ferrovial considers Occupational Safety to be a fundamental and integral part of all its activities and services. This commitment to the highest levels of safety and health, in the interests of our employees and customers is evident in, among others, the following actions and principles:
In its Code of Ethics, Ferrovial undertakes to provide a safe environment for its employees and to continuously update preventive measures in all the areas of its business activities. Additional information in section 4.4 of the “Code of Ethics”.
Health and safety policies, adapted to the needs of every business and legislation in each country, eliminating or reducing risks associated with every activity through the most appropriate preventive measures.
Every business line currently has its own Management System to facilitate compliance with the obligations deriving from every activity and the goals defined by the organisation.
Our systems are audited as a minimum according to the minimum legally mandatory regularity depending on the respective activity, resulting in their continuous improvement and efficiency. Ferrovial has obtained the OHSAS 18001 standard for several of its companies, underscoring our organisation’s commitment to the most exacting international health and safety standards.
Participation of workers’ representatives in activities such as: Evaluation of occupational risk and preventive planning, occupational safety studies, emergency plans, health surveillance, informative and training actions, etc.
Ferrovial organizes regular specific health and safety campaigns and holds workshops, conferences and events to build awareness on the importance of preventive safety and the reduction of the rate of accidents.
