Since 2005, Ferrovial has been developing the Juntos Sumamos program, which encourages the company and its employees to work together to meet the universal needs of society and stop Human Rights violations. This is a matching funds initiative under which the company contributes the same amount each month that the employees decide to devote to the development of a social project out of their paychecks.
This assistance is granted through a public call for proposals and a selection process which encourages employee involvement and transparency throughout the whole procedure. The Social Action Area of Ferrovial evaluates all the proposals received and selects the best projects: Employees subsequently access the information provided on these projects through intranet and vote for the project which they would most like to benefit from their contributions.
Since its inception the program has not stopped growing and so far the company and its employees have donated more than 404,000 euro.
