SECTION ENGINEER – THAMES TIDEWAY LONDON Ref: FC00239

Ferrovial Agroman UK are currently seeking a Section Engineer to work on Thames Tideway Project, one of the most challenging projects ever constructed in London for the last 100 years.

The role

As Section Engineer you will identify works that are additional to the main scope and inform Supervising Engineers / Managers by completing relevant site records (e.g. diary sheets) as required by senior members of staff.

Key accountabilities

KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience of large civil engineering marine projects and tunnelling works would be advantageous.
• Must have an understanding of the requirements and constraints when working around utilities.
• Be competent in reading design drawings and be able to provide assurance that the installation of the works are in accordance with the design.
• Be able to follow the a Test and Inspection plan for any works installed or undertaken.
• Be competent with drafting Safe System of Works [guidance of the work force].
• Ensure works are safely constructed in accordance with design data, standards and specifications and satisfy the requirements of the Client / end user.
• Providing Quality Controlled traceability, demonstrating compliance with design data, standards and specifications.
• Providing value engineering in determining the best solutions to engineering problems.
• Producing site programmes and monitoring wastage, efficiency and progress of the works.
• Advising the commercial departments of contractual issues on site.

Skills & experience

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
BEng or MEng Civil Engineering

TRAINING:
• Health and Safety
• CSCS card
