Corporate Responsability
Ferrovial views its corporate responsibility as a strategic duty related to the companys sustainability, competitiveness and reputation, the purpose of which is to generate long-term value for all its stakeholders and the wider society.
Ferrovials corporate responsibility policy is determined by its Board of Directors. One of the boards primary duties is to ensure compliance with the corporate responsibility principles and obligations voluntarily undertaken by the company (Board of Directors Regulations) and laid out in the Code of Business Ethics. Ferrovial has been a member of the Global Compact of the United Nations since 2002.
In 2007, the Group adopted these principles as its standard of corporate responsibility for the operations of every affiliate company around the world. In 2008, they became principles to which all companies dealing with Ferrovial must adhere thanks to their inclusion in the companys Buyer's Code.
Ferrovial ratifies its commitment to the Compact each year and submits a report to the United Nations on the progress made in applying these principles.
