Despite the aviation industry\u2019s efforts to reduce its environmental impact, its exponential growth doesn\u2019t make this easy. In 2019, it emitted 915 million tons of CO2 &#8211; that\u2019s 2% of all the CO2 produced by humans that year. Powering aircraft with hydrogen appears to be feasible, but it needs to be fine-tuned.
