Nowadays there is a lot of quality and diverse information available in podcast format. In these digital audio files you can learn about different experiences and opinions, which is a good way to keep up to date in any sector or subject.<\/span><\/p>\n

Podcasts have become very popular in recent years. Nowadays we can find podcasts on any topic, being Spotify perhaps the best-known platform, although there are many others that also offer this service; Google Podcasts, iVoox, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, iHeartRadio, Castbox, and Amazon Music among others.<\/span><\/p>\n

The reasons for listening to podcasts can be manifold. And best of all, you can do it, wherever you are.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are many genres of podcasts, for meditation, for film buffs and series lovers, education, motivation, general culture, politics, science, technology, economics, among many others. If you choose a good podcast that catches your attention, you will always be on the lookout for the next episode and you will be able to continuously increase your knowledge of the subject.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A good podcast with an original personality also creates communities. On their social networks they ask for your opinion, they can hold networking events and bring together their podcasting audience, it’s a way of socialising with people who like the same things you like. There is an opportunity to meet amazing people through discovering that podcast.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With traditional media, we listen to what they want us to listen to, except with podcasts, it’s the opposite, many make you feel like you’re right there with them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Podcast producers and creators have the freedom to talk about many topics that perhaps in another media, “wouldn’t look right”. They can be themselves, give their opinion, create controversy and sometimes even tell the truth.<\/span><\/p>\n

When you are doing another task, you can listen to a podcast. Many people do this while getting ready in the morning or while commuting. But even when you are at work, there are many moments you can use for a podcast.<\/span><\/p>\n

It depends a lot on the task you are doing. It’s ideal while doing administrative tasks that don’t require a lot of attention. Or while you’re running or at the gym.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m sure it’s the same for you. There will be things that require a type of concentration that is incompatible with full attention, and others that allow you to listen to a podcast without affecting the quality of your work.<\/span><\/p>\n

In other words, you can do two activities in one – now that’s productivity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Admittedly, in all jobs, there are tasks that we like less. They can be boring, repetitive and of little added value. But, as they are necessary, there is no choice but to do them. As these tasks are often compatible with listening to a podcast, audio content can be a way to motivate you to make progress in your work. Especially if it is a fun and entertaining programme, for example, if it is about humour or interesting information.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some people are motivated by music, but a podcast can be just as good a motivational tool, and I see that as one of its main benefits.<\/span><\/p>\n
