As we get older, it is important that we maintain the habit of studying, not just to develop as professionals, extending our knowledge of new topics, but also so we don\u2019t leave our minds inactive. So today we celebrate #EducationDay<\/a>, offering some advice to help you continue learning whether you’re studying a language, an MA, or a course within your company. We also celebrate all the great work that the Universitas Ferrovial Summa<\/a>\u00a0has done to offer new study opportunities for its employees.<\/p>\n

Here are 10 ways to study more and more effectively<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Focus<\/strong>: Look for a quiet space, that allows you to focus on the lesson or do the exercises. You have to say “no” to anything that might distract you, so avoid looking at your mobile, the television, a\u00a0 magazine, or even giving yourself a manicure.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      \n
    1. Allocate <\/strong>30 minutes a day<\/strong>: It\u2019s better to spend 30 minutes each day on a topic than to spend an entire Sunday. Enjoy your days off and be more productive during the week.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        \n
      1. Identify your most productive time<\/strong>: What time are you most efficient and are more inclined to do something? Some people prefer to get up an hour early to do their \u2018extra tasks\u2019 with a fresh mind and then go about their daily routine.\u00a0 Figure out your most productive time!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        1. Improve your reading speed:<\/strong> \u00a0It is not a question of reading aloud or to yourself, but about expanding \u00a0your knowledge and processing the meaning of the text, not simply memorizing \u00a0all the words.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
            \n
          1. Relax between studying: <\/strong>If you have a lot to learn, you waste more time by attempting to work to no avail when you\u2019re exhausted. Rest between studying, and stop working when you see that your brain can\u2019t take any more!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
              \n
            1. Tick the thing you least feel like doing off your list first<\/strong>: \u00a0Often we leave the things that we find most difficult or that we least want to do until last. If we leave them on our \u2018to do list\u2019 they will continue to haunt you, it is best to get them out of the way as quickly as possible.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              1. Create diagrams<\/strong>:<\/strong> If you have to study because you have an exam, create simple diagrams to retain the most information and create a story from it, then revise it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                  \n
                1. Then test yourself<\/strong>: Ask someone to test you to see if you know all the answers.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                    \n
                  1. Work in a group:<\/strong> If you work in a group enjoy the experience, absorb new ideas, brainstorm<\/a>, be modest, generous, willing\u00a0 and a good colleague. Good work will develop from a good work environment!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                      \n
                    1. Reward yourself!<\/strong> Reward yourself for the time spent studying with small things such as watching a film, a bit of ice cream, going for a bike ride or something else that you would have liked to have been doing whilst you were studying\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
