For our airports \u2013<a title=\"Heathrow Airport\" href=\"http:\/\/www.heathrow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> Heathrow<\/a>, <a title=\"Glasgow Airport\" href=\"http:\/\/www.glasgowairport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> Glasgow<\/a>, <a title=\"Aberdeen Airport\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aberdeenairport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> Aberdeen <\/a>and <a title=\"Southampton Airport\" href=\"http:\/\/www.southamptonairport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> Southampton<\/a>\u2013 over <strong>25 million passengers<\/strong> flew to and from their terminals to enjoy those special moments between the months of June and August.<\/p>\n<p>Given such forecasts, <strong>Heathrow<\/strong> took advantage of this to launch an initiative during August to support<strong> research on prostate cancer<\/strong> \u2013the second most common amongst men. The airport community, comprising over 85,000 people, along with our passengers donated funds to the <a title=\"Royal Free LOndon NHS Foundation\" href=\"https:\/\/www.royalfree.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (RFL)<\/a>. Heathrow achieved all-time record passenger numbers between July and August. In August in particular the airport served <strong>more than 7.33 million passengers<\/strong>, 4% more than in the same period during 2014.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Glasgow<\/strong> Airport also broke records after being named <strong>the third fastest growing European airport<\/strong> in its category during the first half of the year, according to a <a title=\"Ferrovial News, Glasgow Airport crowned best european airport\" href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/london-heathrow-and-glasgow-airports-crowned-best-european-airports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> ranking by ACI Europe<\/a>. Glasgow experienced a <strong>13.8% growth<\/strong> in passenger numbers over the previous year. In addition, this summer was its best in terms of traffic in the last five years, with nearly three million passengers between June and August.<\/p>\n<p>There is good news for <strong>Southampton<\/strong> too, which could become one of the airports that <strong>will soon expand its regional routes<\/strong>. This is due to an initiative by the <a title=\"UK Department for Transport\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/department-for-transport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> UK Department for Transport<\/a>, aiming to support people and businesses near airports below the 5-million passenger mark.<\/p>\n<p>We want to congratulate all team members at the airports in our portfolio for these strong results.
