The Plant, which is designed and built for a volume of 300,000 m3\/d, is the second-largest facility in terms of size in the city.<br \/>\nFurthermore, the Plant is a leader in the sector, as shown by the fact it was considered a Historic Monument, a designation awarded to the complex of Filtering Buildings by the President of the Republic in  2012.
