    \n Reducing Emissions <\/h1>\n <\/div>\n <\/m-final-content-header>\n\n \n\n\n

    All companies should focus on reducing their greenhouse gas emissions. <\/p>\n \n\n\n

    Greenhouse gas emissions are seen at all levels of industry, not only in the production of goods and the implementation of services, but also in all the indirect activities needed to add value for the end client. With the goal of achieving the economy energy transition, we follow a series of guidelines established by international frameworks to reduce emissions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Measuring and Reducing Emissions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The first step to control and reduce these CO2<\/sub> emissions is to be able to measure them through the carbon footprint. Ferrovial has been auditing 100% of its greenhouse gas emissions since 2009, dividing them into those belonging to our activity (Scope 1 and 2) and those coming from the value chain (Scope 3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Ferrovial, in order to be more ambitious with the climate commitment, started the process in 2024 of re-validation of the new targets aligned with the 1.5\u00ba trajectory (Net-Zero commitment), in accordance with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi<\/a>), which is in line with science. Final validation was obtained in February 2025. The company has also established a plan to offset its direct emissions based on encouraging nature-based solutions (in 2024 Ferrovial has offset 22% of these total tons with reforestation and sustainable forest management projects).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2030 Plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    In the long term, Ferrovial is committed to reduce its Scope 1&2&3 emissions by 90% by 2050 or earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Since 2020, we have reduced our Scope 1&2 emissions by 35.78%, meeting the established targets. With respect to Scope 3 emissions, in absolute terms they have been reduced by 18.08%. All this reflects that we are complying with the established roadmap. According to our estimates, by 2024 we have avoided around 574,644 tCO2<\/sub>e, a value bet that we will continue to maintain over time and places us each year in the most prestigious sustainability indices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
