class=\"intro\">Cities are growing &#8211; with more people and businesses increasing the volume of goods being delivered. This project is defining business models to sustain efficient integrated logistics solutions to improve the quality of life for citizens.<\/p>\n    \n\n\n<p>The objective of the Last Mile\nLogistics project is to understand and to define the best business models for\nimplementing a goods logistics system in major cities (starting with Madrid and\nBarcelona) that reduces congestion and air pollution and increases convenience.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The business model will also define the\nspecific roles for Ferrovial maximising its capabilities and interests. The scope\nof this research includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Market investigation about business\nmodels used in urban logistics solutions<\/li><li>Researching applicable technologies\n(logistics marketplace APP, route optimization, connected vehicles, etc.)<\/li><li>Defining new possible business\nareas, business models and balancing strategies<\/li><li>Simulation of business models\ndefined changing them or adapting them as needed<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The research will cover Technology\nReadiness Levels 3 to 6 by means of the following developments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Analytical critical functions,\nfinancial modelling and\/or characteristic proof-of concept of the business\nmodels<\/li><li>Preparation, definition and testing\nof the parameters for the simulations of the business models<\/li><li>Business model validation through\nthe different stakeholder groups.<\/li><li>System\/subsystem business model\nsimulation in a relevant environment <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The outcomes of this\nresearch will set the foundations for future project deployment, allowing TRL\nbeyond level 6, through
