The role

REPORTS TO Business Development Director


Key accountabilities

Dutieswill include:

§ Contribute to the development of the Business Plan to meet the annual turnoverand growth plans in targeted sectors. Analyse new opportunities, sectors,clients and JV partners
§ Undertakes regular research and engagement activities to identifypotential opportunities which align with the FA Strategy in advance of theformal OJEU notice
§ Promotes Brand awareness, supports the development and management ofClient relationships
§ Establishes and maintains relationships with prospective JV partners
§ Markets Ferrovial Agroman’s services within the appropriate marketsectors
§ Maintains Ferrovial Agroman’s opportunities pipeline on a regular basis,producing Fortnightly Pipeline Reports for submission to the Managing Director
§ Support on agreeing commercial arrangements with Joint Venture partners/ Design Consultants
§ Supports the appointment of appropriate technical and commercial resources,including external designers or specialist consultants, as required to supportthe PQQ / Tender process in line with the agreed strategy. Ensure consistentcommercial Terms and Conditions which meet market conditions
§ Establishes Document Control Systems for PQQs
§ Leads the development and submission of suitable PQQ responses,collaborating with Joint Venture partners, consultants and other specialists
§ Leads wider resources including Subject Matter Experts and bid writersto develop the responses
§ Supports the tender process in providing ‘quality’ responses
§ Obtains feedback from Clients on PQQ and tender submissions

Skills & experience

§ Excellent Engineering background, ideally civils but can beconstruction/mechanical/electrical etc.
§ Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety oflevels throughout Ferrovial and with external partners, suppliers, consultants,subject matter experts and Clients.
§ Excellent diplomacy skills
§ Must be able to work to work to strict timescales and ability to producehigh volume / accurate information to respond to changing business needs.
§ Ability to understand bid management workings and programmes and be ableto forecast impact
§ Able to interpret contractual clauses and provide commercial opinion inorder to facilitate wider strategic business decisions.
§ Ability to create and manage against bid budgets
§ Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
§ Experience of managing external stakeholders
§ Knowledge of contract structure and law
§ Experience of contract management
§ Knowledge of programme management
§ Experience of working in a cost-conscious environment
