Additionally, it performs a function of providing corporate services to the different companies of the group, while consolidating its information.
 

The role

Plan, execute, supervise and discuss internal audit and consultancy-based projects within the approved Audit Plan for the whole business.

Functions

Supervise and execute multiple Internal Audit projects, analyzing financial and operational variables and internal control and procedures of the units or processes audited, informing superiors of the findings and proposing recommendations where required in order to optimize the units audited.

Supervise and execute consultancy-based projects that cover the analysis of specific areas or dimensions that have been deemed of interest to Ferrovial. This will include but not be limited to business plans, processes, structures or specific organizations. These projects will add value through the conclusions rendered and the recommendations proposed.

Provide support to the Internal Audit Department in relation to the analysis of potential risk in the audit universe, as well as other risks that may arise during acquisition processes (due diligence) and the takeover of new companies (post acquisition due diligence).

Undertake and complete detailed planning of each project, including assigning tasks to the members of the team, thus ensuring efficiency in meeting established completion deadlines.

Interaction with top level management of the audited units throughout the audit process, ensuring that we have a balanced and verified opinion that covers the audit objectives and adds value to their management.

Plan and present the conclusions of the audit in a manner that establishes what future actions must be undertaken and facilitates the decision-making process.

Coordinate and supervise the work of the team assigned to each project, ensuring they are efficient in their tasks, that the correct technical aspects have been applied, while also assuring that adequate levels of motivation and implication are present.

Contribute to internal digitalization and methodology improvement projects, proposing and contributing to their development, and offering internal instruction where required.

Requirements

University degree, preferably in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business Studies or a related field.

Between 4 and 8 years of experience in internal/external Audit, or in strategy, corporate development, finance or business management.

Spanish not required but would be a plus.

Candidates must be responsible, methodic, organized, motivated to learn and with decision making skills. Must be able to adapt to changing situations, with good communication skills and able to work well in a team. Dynamic and with initiative.

Available to travel.
