Report to Finance Manager
Role Purpose: To support the Finance Manager in all aspects of accounting at Heathrow Airport.
Maintaining and processing of supplier and subcontractor invoices
Checking the costs are allocated correctly across the project work packages
Calculate accruals based on information received from site on a monthly basis and producing project accruals forecast
Gathering correct authorisations for all accounting and invoice related activities to ensure appropriate financial controls
Ensuring that secure and traceable cost records are maintained online
Reviewing supplier statements to check accounts are up to date and keep track of invoices
Ensuring payments are processed in line with agreed payment terms and are fully compliant with Prompt Payment Code
Working closely with all members of the Finance team to ensure that processes and procedures are being followed
Managing Financial (Internal and External) Reporting
Budgeting and Monitoring all Financial Activities
Managing Subcontractors accounts and payments
Supervising a team of account assistants / cost controllers
Reporting to internal and external audits and providing backup for the GL Accounts as required.
Skills and Competence:
We are looking for candidates with:
Experience in invoice and payment processing
Excellent Microsoft Excel and general IT skills
Data-oriented and attention to detail
High level of accuracy
Excellent verbal communication skills
Experience of working in a cost-conscious environment
Ability to perform assignments independently with supervision and guidance as required
Good level of proactivity and a problem-solving attitude
