Job Description:
As a Data Strategy Director, you will be responsible for the design and development of data infrastructure and advanced analytics solutions that enable the generation of insights that drive business value. This person will help establish data governance and processes to ensure data quality and accessibility and formulate best practices for data analytics and MLOps workloads. The data to be used can come from either proprietary traffic, movement, and customer datasets collected from any of Cintra’s global toll road projects and/or with data taken from identified and suitable external sources. Additionally, you be responsible for communicating your recommendations with management, supporting the work of other analytics groups, and staying up to date on new tools and methods. Although this role will be based in Austin, TX, this person will be supporting projects and groups in North America and Europe.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain data platform for analytics, linking multiple and disparate data sources, while ensuring data quality and accessibility to enable the extraction of value from information

Provide thought leadership and expertise to establish technology and data architecture with clear data definitions, methodologies, and interpretation

Engineer and implement data pipelines for all types of data to support analytics initiatives, including enablement of ML/AI based projects and solutions

Be a critical resource within the Data Science group by collaborating on the design, implementation and deployment of predictive models, optimization engines, and AI-based tools that support strategic initiatives for Cintra and its concessions

Work cross-functionally and/or with external providers to lead or support the integration of data, models and technology to enable customer-centric insights, actions, and strategies

Stay informed on new developments in data engineering tools and techniques to benefit the analytics practice at Cintra.

Key Requirements:

Degree in STEM related field (Math/Engineering/Computer Science/Information Systems) from an accredited college or university

10+ years’ experience delivering/enabling enterprise analytics solutions, preferably in customer/marketing/pricing related initiatives and projects

Experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based data and analytics solution architectures to support data workloads that enable multiple areas (business analytics, data engineering, data streaming, MLOps)

High level of proficiency in SQL and major programming languages

Experience with data visualization software (Tableau/Power BI, etc.,)
