Job Description:

Your next calling: 
As the Financial Reporting Analyst, you will have the opportunity to assist in preparing various monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual reports to be disseminated to department managers, senior management, the Board of Directors, shareholders, and lenders.  The Analyst ensures that the company is in full compliance with all the necessary reports required by the Loan Agreements and the Comprehensive Development Agreement (CDA).  In addition, the Analyst prepares files and details, as well as collects and consolidates data as necessary in order to prepare the company forecasts and budget. In order to perform the responsibilities, the Analyst will work with a high level of accuracy and detail-orientation; as well as have a thorough understanding of the business and a solid working knowledge base of the different business activities.

Functions key to success:

  • Ensure that all the necessary reporting documents are updated and in full compliance per the Comprehensive Development Agreement (CDA) and the Loan Agreements

  • Build, maintain, update, and improve, where necessary, files used to produce financial and other key performance information

  • Provide variance analysis between actuals and budget to assist the Finance Manager in preparing monthly reports and budget

  • Assist the Finance Manager and Controller in a detailed review of accounting entries to help ensure correct allocation and general ledger account entries, paying special attention to the correct accounting of operating expenses versus capital expenditures

  • Prepare channels for receiving department inputs, as well as organize and consolidate the inputs for the building of the company’s financial projections, forecasts, and budget

  • Interact with the different business units to collect necessary information to produce internal reports for Shareholders, such as the Monthly Report for the Board of Directors

  • Maintain fluent communication with other business units in order to understand the different activities of the company and the financial impacts

  • Build detailed analysis reports with information from the Accounting System (SAP), and send to the Finance Manager for review

  • Assist the Finance Manager in designing and updating reporting packages, coordinating and consolidating submissions, and performing of sensitivity analysis

  • Keep, maintain and adhere to the reporting calendar under the project agreements, lender’s agreements and shareholder’s reporting requirements

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly presentations for the Board of Directors

  • Assist in the preparation of key information to the different Stakeholders

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

What you bring to the table:
You have worked hard to achieve success in your educational career, now put it to use. If you have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field, you are halfway there with the needed abilities for this position. Do you have at least 1 to 3 years of experience in a finance-related field, with a focus in the quantitative analysis, knowledge of corporate financial accounting, or familiarity with financial statements and the relation between them (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow)? If the answer is yes, you can check off another box.

Finally, in a technology-driven world, it is important to know your way around a computer. For this role, it will be important to know the basics of the following:

  • Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency, especially within Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as PC-based programs

  • Familiarity with SAP accounting software is preferred

Our working environment:
NTE and LBJ wants to ensure that all employees are comfortable and able to work in the type of culture and environment we have built our business on. Our office is typically quiet with low noise levels; however, you will often hear employees laughing and talking amongst themselves. Effective communication will be key for this role and will require you to talk and hear others. You will probably spend a majority of your time sitting and/or walking around the office, whether to visit a co-worker or make it to a meeting on time and there may be occasional long hours to put in if you are diligently working to complete a project and finish a report. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus, as necessary to use a computer.  There could be a time when you may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, but not very often.
