Project Description: 

The Ontario Line South Civil Project is responsible for the design, construction and handover of all tunnels, stations and civil works between Exhibition Station and a portal location within the Don Yard. This includes, without limitation, seven Stations (one at grade and six underground stations), 6 km of Tunnels, a range of civil works and ancillary building works, and successful handover of the constructed South Civil

Role description:

The Geotechnical Design Manager applies the sciences of foundation engineering, soil and rock mechanics, engineering geology, and other disciplines to civil engineering design and construction, whilst working to preserve and protect the physical environment. 

Responsibilities

• Review Geotechnical plans

• Make changes to GeoTechnical plans under direction form the Design Department manager

• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill

• Supervise work through the planning and scheduling of work, and the review and approval of tasks

• Creating analytical two and three-dimensional models

• Make complex calculations in planning or assessing structures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• 5 (five) years of experience in the GeoTechnical Design Field

• Experience in Geopak

• Ability to manage and delegate tasks
