Job Description:
The Design and Construction (D&C) Manager, as a member of the Operations Department, a highly skilled and specialized team within the organization, is an essential part during the procurement, implementation and operation stages of the company project portfolio. The D&C Manager is responsible for design, construction and environmental related aspects, strategic analysis and management when pursuing new project opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the technical aspects related to Design and Construction throughout project bidding phase (Project Proposal preparation). This includes but is not limited to:

Leading the relations with Business Development department

Overseeing all D&C aspects of the Proposal and defining the technical approach for the Project Proposal

Leading the coordination with external technical consultants during the preparation of Project Proposals

Facilitating coordination of project designers with Traffic and Revenue and Operations teams

Preparing D&C cost estimates

Presentation and discussion of Project Proposals technical aspects for company executives

Managing Lender’s Due Diligence process and support Project Finance team in technical aspects related to negotiations with bondholders and rating agencies

Provide technical support to concession companies in Cintra US’s portfolio during project implementation and operational phases, this includes but is not limited to:

Provide technical input on the optimization of design and construction and operation and maintenance (whole life approach)

Participate in the annual revision of budgets

Implement best operation practices in concession companies

Prepare annual cost benchmarking reports with other projects in the portfolio

Management and coordination of external technical consultants for operating concessions forensic works

Provide technical support on design, operation and maintenance aspects at project implementation and operations

Analyze pavement grades and forecast durability and costs in the concession projects in order to recommend options for future projects as well as audit and oversee pavement quality on Cintra US’s portfolio

Participates in conducting engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks, which may include collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions

Performs field observations for new project’s procurements and for construction works where appropriate

Job Description:
The Role
The Project Manager will lead the delivery of slab track installation works for the designated section of HS2 Lot 3, ensuring compliance with HS2 standards, contractual obligations, and safety requirements. This role involves managing interfaces with civil works, coordinating suppliers (including for slab track and for S&Cs, and overseeing construction activities from planning through handover.
Key responsibilities
- Project Delivery & Planning
- Develop and maintain detailed delivery programmes for slab track installation.
- Ensure alignment with HS2 Works Information and technical specifications Stakeholder & Interface Management
- Coordinate with civil engineering teams, signalling, and other railway systems contractors.
- Manage internal interfaces at boundaries.
- Supply Chain Coordination
- Oversee procurement and logistics for execution of the works including Frost Protection Layer trimming, Concrete bound Layer supply and installation, precast slab units and associated components (S&C units, REDs, buffer stops) etc.
- Health, Safety & CDM Compliance
- Implement CDM roles, inductions, and security protocols for all works.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with design obligations and integrate supplier O&M manuals into project documentation.

FDI has acquired a land plot for the development of a Data Center, and we are seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering PM to overview, coordinate and manage the project, construction, and engineering as well as to provide direction, analysis and resolution of engineering challenges for our future facility in Madrid.
The role may require assistance to FDI Projects Development Team within the Business Development and Strategy related activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale construction projects from an engineering angle with focus on data centers, critical infrastructure, and technical facilities.
We are looking for a Project Manager (PM) to lead and manage data center projects in Spain, within the data center development team belonging to Ferrovial Digital Infrastructures. The person will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project management standards, ensuring compliance with deadlines, costs and quality, and supporting the Head of Projects Development in the execution of projects, fully aligned with FDI strategy including cutting-edge sustainable and innovative solutions
This role requires a person experienced in the management and coordination of projects in the preconstruction, construction, ready for service, and delivery to the end customer phases of large-scale data center projects
Requirements:
- Minimum demonstrable experience of 10 years as a Project Manager, preferably at least 3-5 of them in data centre projects.
- Knowledge of the data centre project lifecycle.
- PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certification (desirable).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Jira, etc.).
- Ability to solve problems and make effective decisions.
- The following would be an asset.
- Previous experience in critical or mission critical environments.
- Knowledge of technical regulations applicable to Data Centres.
- Experience in international or multicultural environments.
Key Responsibilities:

- Work as a key technical expert, providing estimates to the design and construction teams for Ireland bids.

- Oversee all construction activities, tasks and requirements in accordance with specifications, work scopes, drawings, contracts, technical and engineering standards.
- Working in close association with the Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure consistent and collaborative safe project delivery.
- Undertake updates to the project schedule, planning site works around key procurement and delivery dates to achieve schedule dates as set out in management plan.
- Efficiently manage subcontractors and directly hired trades labour.
- Coordinate all project construction resources including trades personnel, plant and equipment, subcontractors, suppliers and service providers.
- Ensure plant and equipment is maintained in a safe functional condition and that priorities for repairs and maintenance is scheduled to synchronise with the construction schedule and port permissions.
- Liaise with Client and operational groups on associated site works.
- Adherence to port site safety regulations and standards.

Job Description:
At Ferrovial Digital Infrastructure (FDI), we specialize in the development of data center assets, from powered-land search and acquisition to DC design, construction, operation & maintenance, and we are always looking for the most efficient and sustainable solutions.
FDI has acquired a land plot for the development of a Data Center, and we are seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering PM to overview, coordinate and manage the project, construction, and engineering as well as to provide direction, analysis and resolution of engineering challenges for our future facility in Madrid.
The role may require assistance to FDI Projects Development Team within the Business Development and Strategy related activities.
We are looking for an Engineering Project Manager with solid experience in the technical management of Data Centre projects. You will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination and supervision of all engineering disciplines involved in the design and construction of critical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with technical standards, deadlines and budgets, and providing support and reporting to the Head of Projects Development.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale construction projects from a construction angle with focus on data centers, critical infrastructure, and innovative solutions
This role requires hands-on project oversight during the construction phase, the final of the project, and the managing of the ready for services with the customer
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in construction projects, especially in leadership roles in data centre projects in the construction phase.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Technical & Cost management and planning skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Fluent English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Construction or related field is ideal.
- Previous experience in the construction sector and specifically in data center projects and / or large tertiary & industrial construction projects where MEP systems play a vital role will be highly valued.
- Exposure and knowledge about operating a data center, and of the project lifecycle
- Strong understanding building regulations, urban planning and environmental conditions and permitting processes incl. associated timescales.
- Proficient in Office 365 package expertise (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
- Lean Construction knowledge and experience will be valued.
- PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certification (desirable).
- Ability to solve problems and make effective decisions.
- The following would be an asset:
- Previous experience in critical or mission critical environments.
- Knowledge of technical regulations applicable to Data Centres.
- Experience in international or multicultural environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the coordination of all technical activities of the project, as well as the planning, feasibility, evaluation and supervision of works for compliance with applicable codes, construction and transition phases.
- Establish and maintain project management methodologies, tools and templates.
- Reporting to the Head of Projects Development, on the status of the project under development, with details on progress, costs, risks, deviations, change orders, among others.
- Preparation of executive reports and dashboards to support Head of Projects Development.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation plans.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams on site in the development of project (engineering, general contractor, contractors, IT, operations, administration).
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards (e.g. Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ISO 27001).
- Coordinate with the rest of the project development team in the Digital Infrastructure division.
- Coordinate internal and external resources for the execution of the project.
- Ensure the availability and appropriate allocation of resources at the final of the design of the project, and during the construction works.
- Conduct project status reporting and communicate progress to management.
- Ensure that the project are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Analyse design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Coordination of the purchase of OFCI equipment, including the selection of manufacturers to manage purchasing agreements for the project.
- Work on energy performance monitoring and reporting as well as to prepare reports for submission to senior management.
- Manage the commissioning phases making the coordination with GC, and other companies related with it, in order to ensure the deadlines of each.
- Ensure that the construction is developed within best practices related to land and sustainability due diligence and environmental compliance.
