Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Ferrovial meeting

In 2016, the agreement signed in 2010 between Ferrovial and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as an associate member of the MIT Energy Initiative to develop innovation projects aimed at transforming cities and infrastructures of the future was renewed for another five years
We wanted an active commitment between both parties guarantying the alignment of results with Ferrovial’s strategy, which eases the transfer of results and looks for new opportunities and future areas of research.

In the previous period of 2011-2015, 11 projects were undertaken in the areas of construction, cities, infrastructure, water treatment, waste management and energy efficiency with satisfactory results for the business. In 2016, 5 new projects were started with a total investment of over 1.5 million dollars.
