    \n The contribution of our highways to socioeconomic development <\/h1>\n

    \n The Quadriga Report analyzes the socio-economic impact of our highways <\/h3>\n

    \n The Quadriga Report was carried out by the international consulting firm Steer, and it looks at 21 highways managed by Cintra, a subsidiary of the company. These highways are located across the United States, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Australia, Slovakia, and Colombia. <\/p>\n <\/m-introduction-subhome>\n \n\n\n

    Cintra\u2019s highways have generated a total impact of $60.8 billion in the GDP of those nine countries as of December 2021<\/strong>. The Quadriga Report also shows that their construction, maintenance, and management have created 334,000 Full Time Equivilent (FTE) jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    These highways have contributed to the fact that travel times for their users are considerably lower<\/strong>. In 2021, Cintra motorway users saved 81 million hours of travel. North America has benefited the most in this regard, with a total of 58 million hours saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As for the socioeconomic impact, highways improve mobility, reduce traffic, and contribute to the sustainable development of the regions where they are located<\/strong>. In all, they have generated $29.1 billion of economic value<\/strong>: $23.2 billion of this was due to shorter, more reliable travel times, $1.9 billion to better safety and emissions reduction, and $4 billion to increased productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Preparation of the Report<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    We\u2019ve worked with the Steer consulting firm to prepare the Quadriga Report. The methodology used in the Quadriga Report provides a global, consistent, standardized assessment framework for all Cintra highways. The consulting firm also highlights the role of these highways\u2019 proper functioning in terms of safety.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/m-wysiwig>\n\n\n\n \n

    The report concludes that they generate a significant socioeconomic impact for the regions where they operate.
