    \n Biogenic CO2 Emissions <\/h1>\n <\/div>\n <\/m-final-content-header>\n\n \n\n\n

    According to the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change)<\/a> and the Protocol for the quantification of greenhouse gas emissions from waste management activities<\/em>, CO2<\/sub> produced by the combustion of biogas recovered and channeled by flaring or in cogeneration<\/strong> processes must be reported as zero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This is because this gas comes from the decomposition of products containing organic<\/strong> matter from animal or vegetable sources which was recovered by living organisms, and which therefore belongs to a carbon neutral cycle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    However, the protocol recommends quantification and reporting of Biogenic CO2<\/sub><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/m-wysiwig>\n\n\n\n
