Aligned with it is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/sustainability\/corporate-social-responsibility\/csr-plan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ferrovial&#8217;s Sustainability Strategy<\/a>, which focuses on <strong><em>addressing society&#8217;s main challenges<\/em><\/strong> in the areas of climate change, biodiversity, circular economy and water, fitting directly into the multiple fronts for effectively responding to the environmental and social challenges of climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a sign of these business commitments, we approved our <strong>first Circular Economy Plan<\/strong>, maintaining our determination to offer services and infrastructures that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increase waste <strong>reuse and recycling.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote <strong>efficient use of materials<\/strong>, as well as the use of <strong>recycled materials.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help <strong>manage the water footprint more efficiently<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advance <strong>economic decarbonization <\/strong>to help find a way out of the energy crisis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to <strong>reducing our environmental impact <\/strong>and that of our users and customers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To this end, we are working to incorporate the principles of the circular economy into all our <\/strong>establishes specific objectives for the different businesses, as well as lines of action that allow the company to strengthen its commitment to the circular economy and advance in its performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Circular Economy Examples<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Commitment to the<strong> recovery of sewage sludge and exploration of new technologies<\/strong> that can reduce the volume of sewage sludge, such as hydrothermal carbonation of sewage sludge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In water treatment plants,<strong> the biogas generated is captured and used both thermally <\/strong>and to generate electricity for self-consumption.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advancing the <strong>development of long-lasting pavements<\/strong> by improving bitumen and asphalt binders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promoting <strong>water efficiency measures <\/strong>such as the installation of taps and sanitary installations as part of building
