El contrato de obra incluy\u00f3 la ampliaci\u00f3n del muelle actual mediante la construcci\u00f3n de una extensi\u00f3n del embarcadero de 600 pies de largo y 40 pies de ancho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los principales elementos de trabajo consistieron en aproximadamente 30.000 pies lineales de pilotes de hormig\u00f3n, 1.200 yardas c\u00fabicas de hormig\u00f3n de vigas de muelle, 14 nuevas defensas frontales y 24.000 pies cuadrados de plataforma de muelle. Webber prefabric\u00f3 los paneles para la plataforma del embarcadero principal en la zona de almacenamiento, ahorrando tiempo y reduciendo el coste total del puerto de Galveston. Webber tambi\u00e9n molde\u00f3 in situ la plataforma real del embarcadero.
