La magia, en aquel lugar, la pon\u00eda la tecnolog\u00eda. La carretera pod\u00eda recorrerse de principio a fin, entre Caminha y Oporto, sin cruzarse con ninguna cabina de peaje. Y, aun as\u00ed, de alguna manera imposible, se pagaba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La llamada Autopista Norte Litoral fue pionera a la hora de instalar un peaje electr\u00f3nico y de flujo libre. Cuando la soluci\u00f3n se implement\u00f3 entre 2008 y 2010, pocas autopistas en el mundo lo ten\u00edan. De ah\u00ed la sorpresa de quienes estaban acostumbrados a las colas y contar monedas frente a las cabinas de peaje. El sistema, bautizado como Vialivre, es hoy mucho m\u00e1s habitual en las carreteras de Portugal y de otras partes del mundo y ha permitido una gesti\u00f3n m\u00e1s eficiente del tr\u00e1fico. Une la ciudad de Oporto con Caminha, una localidad de frontera situada a orillas del Mi\u00f1o, ya en su desembocadura, mirando a las tierras de A Guarda. La autopista se completa con un ramal hacia el interior, entre Viana do Castelo y Ponte da Lima, para sumar un total de 119 kil\u00f3metros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lo largo del trazado, la autopista que fue m\u00e1gica atraviesa 16 puentes y cinco t\u00faneles, asegurando un trazado recto y eficiente, capaz de salvar la complicada orograf\u00eda del norte de Portugal.
