Cuando llueve, y el sistema se&nbsp;sobrecarga, el exceso de agua se vierte al r\u00edo. Cada a\u00f1o,&nbsp;55 millones de toneladas de aguas&nbsp;sin tratar&nbsp;acaban en el T\u00e1mesis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El&nbsp;Thames&nbsp;Tideway&nbsp;Tunnel, que est\u00e1 siendo en parte construido por Ferrovial Construcci\u00f3n, reducir\u00e1 esos vertidos en un 90%. Cuando est\u00e9 completado, el t\u00fanel discurrir\u00e1 25 kil\u00f3metros bajo el r\u00edo, conectando las esclusas y las desembocaduras del antiguo sistema de alcantarillado y recogiendo los excesos de la red.
