Esta presa es tambi\u00e9n el punto m\u00e1s elevado del complejo hidroel\u00e9ctrico de&nbsp;Moralets.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M\u00e1s abajo, en la cabecera del r\u00edo Noguera Ribagorzana, se ubica la gran presa de&nbsp;Baserca.&nbsp;Con una altura m\u00e1xima de&nbsp;86 metros&nbsp;y una longitud 330, la presa necesit\u00f3 de 235.000 metros c\u00fabicos de hormig\u00f3n para su construcci\u00f3n, en la que particip\u00f3, en los a\u00f1os 80 del siglo XX, Ferrovial. Este salto de bombeo, con una potencia de 206 MW, env\u00eda agua hacia la parte m\u00e1s alta de la monta\u00f1a, desafiando la ley de la gravedad, a trav\u00e9s de una gran tuber\u00eda. En el otro extremo espera el embalse de&nbsp;Llauset, que almacena agua y, por lo tanto, energ\u00eda, hasta que es necesario&nbsp;liberarla. En ese momento, la devuelve a trav\u00e9s de la misma estructura hasta la central de&nbsp;Moralets, donde la fuerza del agua se transforma en electricidad.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La galer\u00eda que conecta&nbsp;Baserca,&nbsp;Moralets&nbsp;y&nbsp;Llauset, y que da sentido al complejo hidroel\u00e9ctrico, marc\u00f3 todo un hito en su d\u00eda. Con poco m\u00e1s de un kil\u00f3metro de longitud, inclinada a 45 grados, una primera tuber\u00eda reforzada salva un desnivel de m\u00e1s de 700 metros. Desde su parte m\u00e1s alta, una tuber\u00eda de presi\u00f3n se extiende durante otros cuatro kil\u00f3metros hasta llegar al pantano de&nbsp;Llauset.
