Buscamos un/a Jefe/a de Estudios de Edificación para unirse a nuestro equipo en Tenerife. La persona seleccionada será responsable de la elaboración y gestión de ofertas de proyectos de edificación, asegurando la competitividad y viabilidad técnica y económica de las propuestas.
 

Funciones:

– Preparación de ofertas en procesos de licitación de grandes proyectos de edificación en Canarias, incluyendo:
– Estudio y comprensión de todos los documentos de la licitación, incluyendo posibles visitas al lugar de ejecución.
– Estudio y valoración económica del coste del proyecto. Relación con subcontratistas y cadena de suministro.
– Análisis técnico del proyecto y de las soluciones y sistemas constructivos empleados y elaboración de propuestas de optimización y mejora, y en su caso, detección de errores del proyecto.
– Confección de informes, memorias u otros documentos técnicos.
– Coordinación del desarrollo de la documentación técnica a preparar en la licitación, junto con el resto de equipos que intervienen en la preparación de la oferta: departamentos internos (Dirección Técnica, Financiera, Jurídica, Aprovisionamiento, etc.), Ingenierías y Asesores externos, socios de UTE, estableciendo la estrategia de la oferta, estudio económico, planificación de obra, análisis de riesgos, supervisión de documentos y entrega final. atendiendo a los distintos apartados:

– Impulsar la digitalización e implantación de BIM en las licitaciones.
– Contacto con el cliente con atención a reuniones, solicitudes de aclaraciones y cualquier otra interacción durante el proceso de licitación.
 

Requisitos:

– Formación: Arquitecto/a Técnico/a o Ingeniero/a de Edificación. Se valorará formación complementaria en gestión de proyectos o presupuestos.
– Experiencia: Mínimo 5 años de experiencia demostrable en un puesto similar, preferiblemente en edificación singular u hospitalaria, dentro de empresas constructoras de primer nivel.

– Conocimientos Técnicos:

– Habilidades: Capacidad de análisis y síntesis, proactividad, orientación a resultados, habilidad de negociación, comunicación efectiva y capacidad para trabajar bajo presión.

The Ferrovial BAM Joint Venture (FBJV) has a successful history of delivering critical infrastructure for the UK on time and to budget together in joint venture partnership. They first worked together in 2010 as BFK, delivering three Crossrail contracts, including the longest stretch of tunnelling works between Royal Oak and Farringdon and Farringdon Station, the first central station to be completed on the Elizabeth Line. The team is also delivering the Silvertown Tunnel project together in East London and has been delivering excellence at each stage of HS2, such as Fusion JV for the Enabling Works packages, EKFB for the central Main Works Contract and now delivering the track infrastructure across the entire HS2 route.

We are seeking an experienced Works Manager with a strong background in track installation in major projects in the UK to join our team responsible for the safe and timely execution of the works on site.

During the initial phase, prior to the commencement of site works, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the design is developed with a focus on constructability and efficient delivery as Track Specialist Design Manager. Reporting to the Engineering Leadership, you’ll play a key role working closely with the Design and Delivery Teams, external design partners and Alliance members to develop and manage the design for Temporary Railheads, Resilient Track and Switches & Crossings (S&C). The role will be based either in either our London or Birmingham offices, and will require to attend weekly meetings with the broader team and/or client in Birmingham/London

Your mission

You will be responsible for the following:

Establish and promote best practice in health, safety, sustainability, cost, time, buildability and appropriate quality matters.

Manage the design process to ensure that the design solution developed for each element of the track is safe, efficient to build, compliant with the contract Specification and delivered to schedule within budget. 

Promote use of engineering expertise and modern methods of construction to add value to design development.

Implement 3D design delivery strategy to inform and deliver the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) requirements.

Input into internal, client & external engineering workshops & steering groups. 

Perform reviews of technical proposals.

Develop and maintain an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimise those risks

Manage design programme, monitoring and reporting via programme updates, trackers & progress meetings

Obtaining of relevant documentation and approvals by relevant bodies, designers and relevant stakeholders

Interface with both NR and relevant stakeholders as required

Providing expert guidance and technical support, you will work closely with both HS2  and project teams to identify and mitigate risks, as well as ensure compliance with the Works Information requirements.

Identifying opportunities to improve the design by considering how to improve safety, incorporate buildability, improve quality, and provide best value compliant solutions.

Co-ordinate the whole design process and managing change

Organising design co-ordination and design progress meetings with the design team and specialist supply chain partners, ensuring that design risk assessments are produced.

Prepare minutes, notes and reports as required to ensure effective communication and accurate records are maintained.

Managing the document control process, supported by a document controller.

Maintaining a professional approach with clients and their professional teams, sub-contractors and suppliers

Manage other more junior team members which may report into this role

Role Requirements:

Strong management skills, with a positive and collaborative approach

Enthusiastic team player, able to listen, understand, engage and motivate, and with confidence to make decisions when required 

Degree qualification in civil engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent 

Professionally Qualified, preferably Chartered Engineer

Extensive experience in design and construction of ballasted and ballastless track. Experience in resilient slab track will be positively assessed

Experience in design and construction of Switches and Crossings

Experience in managing and delivering design and construction interfaces between track systems and other railways systems

Knowledge of track design procedures and standards

Ability to work in a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment

Knowledge of the work process in design offices through successful experience of design delivery coordination

A good commercial understanding of contracts, procurement routes and risk management.

Good collaborative planning skills.

Thorough understanding of 3D design and BIM, with a desire to drive improvements and benefits through embracing digital construction.

Excellent communication skills, both at the personal level and more formal reporting level.

Practical experience of harmonising design and quality requirements with buildability and a strong desire to problem solve are essential.

Ferrovial Construction U.S. seeks a BIM Manager for the East region to manage 3D models while procuring multibillion-dollar infrastructure projects. Once awarded one of those contracts, the BIM manager will lead the BIM team through the detailed design phase and during construction.

Summary: The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager plays a key role in the financial and performance oversight and optimization of the portfolio, in constant interaction with the Business Management and Headquarters teams, with a strong focus on value creation and proactive monitoring. Responsible for supporting the Head of Global Financial Planning & Analysis, in this position, you will participate in the financial workstreams of the North America portfolio either in a ‘service provider/consultant’ or ‘asset monitoring’ role, as applicable.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Financial and performance oversight and optimization of the North America region portfolio of assets supporting the Management Team. This entails leading with an extremely proactive approach the assets performance, including operational benchmarking and financial modelling reviews, to propose, lead and coordinate value creating initiatives for Cintra and its affiliates. 

  • Project management and/or ad-hoc analysis of country or global initiatives that require business and finance team coordination in relation to any financial, accounting, tax and business process with a value creation, simplicity, and cost-effectiveness focus. 

  • Collaboration with the corporate teams of Cintra and Ferrovial (M&A, Corporate Finance & Project Finance, Treasury, ESG, Innovation, etc.) building a vendor business case, improving the financing, tax, and accounting performance of the portfolio.     

  • Support the company reporting, budgeting, risk assessment, audit coordination and financial compliance processes interacting with the CEO, COO and CFOs of the affiliates.  

  • Detailed review of month-end financials and related financial analysis of the corresponding affiliates. 

  • Frequent interaction with the Finance teams of the affiliates to ensure high-quality standards and best practice sharing with the best leverage of systems and resources.

The role:

The BIM Manager will perform activities related to Digital Construction and Information Management in the project. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the BIM Manager will be part of a team that will support him/her on those activities.

Construction Manager – North Carolina, USA

Role Purpose

Responsible for construction execution from the bidding phase to delivery of a major highway project in North Carolina. This includes coordination of site activities, supervision of segment managers, and management of subcontractors and suppliers. Energy Plant Design Manager:

We are seeking an Energy Plant Design Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team. The role will assist with the bidding and delivery of airport projects.

An Energy Plant Design Manager leads multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver optimized designs for energy plants, ensuring technical excellence, risk management, and client satisfaction. This role demands extensive experience, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities in managing complex projects across various energy generation types.

Duties:

· Lead and manage both internal and external engineers within MEP disciplines and coordinate design activities amongst other design disciplines, Construction, external consultants, and Clients.

· Makes technical assumptions, thinks independently to complete assigned work, and draws engineering conclusions.

· Provide the best technical solutions to optimize the design, minimizing quantities and/or construction time, while all technical requirements are met.

· Due diligence and review of Energy Plant and MEP design submittals provided by subconsultants and clients, performing quality control reviews, checking the design with independent analyses and models.

· Monitor and report progress against design schedule. Review and approve tasks to ensure deadlines are met.

· Defend solutions in front of the Client achieving the approval of the design.

· Be vigilant and anticipate technical risks and design strategies to protect the company against those technical risks.

· Perform leadership activities, including mentorship and guidance of junior employees, showing them the path to increase their technical level. Offer to all engineers in that discipline the most advanced technical knowledge and cutting-edge technologies.

· Coordinate with Clients, Engineering consultants and other stakeholders to discuss on and solve design and construction related topics.

· Work in a multidisciplinary environment, actively communicating with the rest of the Team also involved in the design and construction works to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions.

· Estimates of bill of quantities (Including generation of quantities and performing Quality checks on quantities by consultants).

· Other duties as assigned involved with energy plant design as natural gas and nuclear generation, utility power, gas and diesel generators, back-up energy, etc…

Qualification:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Energy Engineering required obtained from an accredited U.S. college or university, preferably one of the premier civil engineering programs in the U.S.

· MSE in Energy or Mechanical engineering.

· Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in at least one state.

· 10+ years’ experience in relevant Energy Plant design projects. At least 5 of these years in the Project Manager/Design Manager position with project management responsibility on large complex multidisciplinary aviation projects.

· Knowledge and practical experience with MEP design software

· Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Doc controller software, and PowerPoint.

· Demonstrated qualities of leadership and hard work.

· Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings and 3D models, and specifications

· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Must possess strong attention to detail and can work in a fast-paced environment; an eagerness to learn and apply your engineering skills to develop creative problem-solving designs/ideas

Job Overview: The Utility Manager will lead and coordinate all work related to utilities for major Design and Build Highways, ranging from $250 million to billions in infrastructure value. The Utility Manager will coordinate a team of design consultants, utility owners, the construction team, and other design disciplines to plan, relocate, and coordinate adjustments of all utilities impacted by the project. The Utility Manager's activities will include tender utility design and conflict evaluation, cost evaluation, coordination with owners, Utility investigation, coordination during detailed design, develop Utility Budgets, develop and execute Utility Agreements, field utility relocation, and execute Utility closeout functions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Coordination of the Utility Consultant during tender design.

Provide support for the selection of utility design consultants to prepare the tender design work.

Responsible for managing and coordinating the selected consultant to deliver the tender design product.

Attend and manage utility meetings with construction and contracting staff, and potentially with utility owners, to coordinate various utility issues, including but not limited to agreements, designs, conflicts, meeting minutes, and agendas.

Coordinate Utility design and, if applicable,  Utility Adjustment Agreements language to incorporate into the Utility tender deliverables.

Manage the development of the engineer's estimate of probable construction costs spreadsheet for Utility relocations.

Manage the development of the engineer's estimate for the construction schedule of utility relocations.

Evaluate Utility constructability, contract compliance, conflicts with other elements, and evaluate optimizations with Design

 Utility Conflict Matrix

Responsible for identifying utilities and implementing strategies to resolve the maximum number of conflicts that may arise. Accountable for gaining a comprehensive understanding of the project and familiarizing oneself with the state’s laws and regulations regarding utilities.

Responsible for reviewing the Owner’s documents, defining the existing utilities inventory, and preparing and maintaining the Utility Owner contact and representative matrix.

Identify to the possible extent all new Utilities on the Project not listed in the SUE provided. Determine the need to perform additional SUE investigation and coordinate this performance with potential consultants.

Coordinate with the Tender Design Manager and the rest of the discipline leads to maximizing utility conflict avoidance. Coordinate with necessary team members to determine the most cost-effective conflict resolution by assessing the impact of each Utility relocation within the Project corridor.

Manage the development of the Utility relocation preliminary concepts, layouts, and designs.Detailed Design and construction

Responsible for managing the coordination of dry and wet utility relocations, from detailed design to construction, ensuring that the utility adjustment process meets the requirements of the Design, Build, and Finance Agreement.

Ensure that utility conflicts are resolved as mutually agreed upon by all parties while minimizing conflict with construction activities and the Project Schedule. Coordinate with other design disciplines to resolve any conflicts between utilities and infrastructure in the most efficient manner.

Attend and lead utility coordination meetings. Serve as a liaison between Utility Owners, utility relocation coordination consultants, and the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Establish, coordinate, and update the schedules for utilities design and utility construction  sequence of utility work schedules.

Develop and implement Utility Management Plans

Apply, review and process Utility permits as required

Perform cost management for invoices, accruals, and sub-contracts

Produce written reports, exhibits, and Utility maps on the status of all elements of the utility adjustment process.

Ensure compliance with contract documents, State and local standards, and Project Management Plans

ROW & EASEMENTS

Review the acquired property interest information (easement documentation) from each Utility and affected property owners, as needed, and prepare a property matrix to establish the costs associated with the relinquishment and acquisition of Utility property interests.
