Job Description:

A Business Development Project Manager explores the North American market for upcoming public private partnership opportunities in transportation infrastructure that are of benefit to the organization. The Business Development Project Manager also manages and coordinates all phases of PPP projects bidding process: proposals, procurement, contracting, and financing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Functions key to success:

  • Explore the North American market for upcoming public-private partnership opportunities for transportation infrastructure at the local, state, and regional levels

  • Perform needs assessments, risk analyses, and developing and implementing business strategies that respond to the institutional needs and are aimed to facilitate project development

  • Review and advise on all procurement aspects of potential projects, including procurement documents, concession agreements, and financing documents

  • Formulate high-level revenue, risk and financial models and studies to assess the benefits and viability of a potential project

  • Prioritize, action plan and coordinate with the different departments and advisors in the development of proposals/bids for candidate projects

  • Support the business unit in liaising with partners and clients

  • Negotiate various contracts with the Public Administration to seek the most beneficial outcome for the company

  • Prepare presentations management to inform them on the progress and status of ongoing and potential projects

  • Perform other job-related tasks as necessary

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering required, although Master’s degree highly preferred

  • 3 to 7+ years of experience required in project management

  • Prior experience in Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) or infrastructure development preferred

Professional Qualities:

  • Effectively manage tasks and strict deadlines with independence

  • Ability to interact with colleagues in a self-managed team structure

  • Must be able to multitask, problem solve, and implement innovative processes within a fast-paced environment

  • Superior writing and verbal communication skills

Computer Skills:

  • Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and other PC based programs
