Job Description:

THE ROLE

 

You will be responsible for supporting international projects in its different stages providing technical assistance in geotechnical works. At an early stage this position will be based in Madrid, having to travel overseas frequently. After this first stage there will be a long-term international assignment in any of the international projects Ferrovial currently has.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

• Plans and oversees geotechnical field explorations and soil remediation programs.
• Manages both internal and external teams of experts.
• Performs visits to the working site to oversee geotechnical works and construction activities.
• Reviews geotechnical information of different projects during the bidding stage providing technical assistant.
• Prepares geotechnical reports about building, roads and railway projects.
• Performs soil-structure analysis, assisting in the design of shallow and deep foundations and earth retaining structures.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

• Civil Engineering or similar.
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in underground works
• High English level
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel and relocate.
