What is the purpose of this role?

To manage the Competence team to ensure best efficiency and ensure all relevant technical competencies are assessed.

What will this role involve?

Leading the project teams in using the Integrated Management System,
Leading on collaborative working and engagement with the client on ISO44001, or similar,
Contributing to the development and delivery of the overall MML framework HSSQ Strategy,
Delivery of project Quality Plans in conjunction with Project Managers,
Preparing local procedures and processes,
Assisting project teams to plan for product realisation through Inspection and Test Plans, Work Package Plans, Task briefs or similar,
Reviewing and commenting on documentation including documents supplied by subcontractors or suppliers,
Monitoring the timely delivery of project deliverables,
Help identify worthwhile Quality and LEAN improvement initiatives,
Leading on Quality improvement initiatives and projects inc. LEAN construction,
Collecting and analysing baseline data, data monitoring/reporting,
Undertaking 1st party audits,
Assisting with 2nd Party audits,
Facilitating 3rd party audits by the customer or certification bodies,
Undertaking Quality Surveillance tours and review output of similar tours by others,
Tracking and analysing the close out of audit actions,
Undertaking or supporting Root Cause Analysis of significant quality problems,
Prepare and communicate Quality Alerts, Toolbox Talks or bulletins,
Maintaining Notice Boards with regards to Quality Management,
Providing feedback with respect to the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System.

What are we looking for?

Able to drive Understanding of Amey management systems
Good IT skills
Experienced in permanent way renewals with strong construction knowledge and understanding
Robust knowledge of railway skills and competencies
Experienced in planning own work and work of others
Good communication skills Qualified assessor (A1)
Qualified verifier (V1) Qualified trainer Auditor competency

What makes this role unique?

You will develop an ACJV system of internal and external technical audit and verification in liaison with the Environment and Audit Manager.
