Role Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a proactive HSEQ Advisor to join our Highways and Waste Treatment business at Amey. As the HSEQ Advisor you will have a large remit, providing HSEQ expertise to 3 key accounts across the Northern region including our One Trafford, Selby and Alston contracts. Reporting into the Health & Safety Business Partner for each account you will work alongside Operational Managers to ensure health & safety best practice are continually maintained and revised to be compliant. You will be responsible for undertaking audits reporting back  to the wider business, as well as leading on any investigations . This role will also focus heavily on providing environmental advice across the contracts to keep in line with Amey’s Sustainability goals and environmental commitments.

What are we looking for?

This role would suit a proactive individual with previous relevant experience in an HSEQ function. You must be comfortable in attending both site visits and senior business meetings, with excellent communication skills in both environments. You will be required to use a tablet to input data whilst on site, so knowledge of relevant technologies would be advantageous! A degree in a related subject, or with an environment and sustainability focus would be beneficial but is not required.This role can be based out Trafford, or anywhere within a commutable distance of Trafford, Selby and Alston. The successful candidate must be happy to travel as required across this area.
