The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will assess, create and implement integrated and scalable HR solutions that align with Company Vision, Mission, Values, business goals and deliverables. An ideal HRBP contributes at both hands-on and strategic levels to shape culture, uphold Company values and solve complex organizational challenges through people-focused solutions. As an HR subject matter expert, you will quickly become a trusted advisor to business leaders while driving positive change, leadership capability, team effectiveness, and inclusivity to ultimately affect the growth, sustainability and profitability of the Company.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Respond to employee & labor relations issues ranging from policy interpretation, performance management, grievances & disciplinary action.
Conduct complex investigations with the highest professional standards, providing counseling and coaching to managers/employees and ensuring a prompt, thorough and fair resolution. Key attributes for coaching: authenticity, transparency, consistency and accountability.
Act as an approachable and trustworthy resource to employees at every level of the organization with respect to issues including communication, management, performance, career development, policy interpretation and respect in the workplace.
Guide employees and managers through sensitive issues such as FMLA, MLOA, ADA accommodations, WC, immigration, wage & benefits concerns.
Manage several HR projects cross-functionally to improve HR infrastructure & enhance processes.
Analyze HR trends and metrics in partnership with HR colleagues in Talent, Communications, Benefits, HRIS, Payroll, Safety & Labor Relations.
Evaluate & measure value of HRBP role on a quarterly basis to ensure alignment and ability to support operations to drive business results.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Champion and drive positive change in the organization through employee engagement initiatives based on employee feedback and HR trends.
Benchmark best practices within the industry/regions; recommend employee services, handle RFPs for new vendors as necessary.
Remain current in Employment/Labor Laws at Federal, State and Local levels to ensure regulatory Compliance.
Successful candidate will have a strong background in Labor Relations.
Ideal candidate will have US and Canada experience, bilingual (French), multiple providence experience.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, Outlook, HR Systems (SAP, ADP, Success Factors, UltiPro)
Education and Experience
· BA in Human Resources or similar field of study. Human Resource Certification preferred (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, HCI, etc.)
Minimum of 7 years HR experience resolving complex employee relations issues; Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee & union relations; diversity, performance management, and federal & state respective employment laws.
Work Conditions/Physical Demands
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
The person in this will operate in a stationary position for significant portions of the day.
The person in this position will occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, copy machine, and printer.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is usually in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Travel may be required on a routine basis.
