The role

To lead the Information management team, leading on BIM implementation, setting up all required systems including the CDE, as well as build the required team to comply with the project requirements.

Key accountabilities

Provides a communications link between the design and construction teams.

Ensures the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) has been completed and briefed to the other project team members, sub-contractors, sub-consultants and suppliers of the contractor, the employer, the supervisor and others (as applicable) during D&C and O&M phases

Integrates the design deliverables of the sub-contractors, including designers and specialist designers against the construction programme to ensure delivery in accordance with MIDP.
Ensure the BEP is kept current during all phases of the project

Ensure processes and collaborative behaviors are fully complied with across the project.
Provides the focal point for all production information and handover information management issues on the project

Ensures that all production information and handover information is compliant with the requirements of the contract and all applicable Standards. In particular, but not limited to, PAS 1192-2 / ISO 19650

Ensures all production information and handover information is managed through the CDE

Ensures all information is managed within the CDE (during D&C and O&M phases)

Ensures the other project team members, sub-contractors, suppliers and others (as applicable) have continued and appropriate access to the CDE (during D&C and O&M phases)

Provides clear instructions including on the following areas:

What production information and handover information is required, by whom and for what purpose
Who will generate the production information and handover information and maintain it
What actions should be taken on receipt of the production information and handover information

Skills & experience

• Wide experience in information management.

• Must have an in-depth working knowledge of BIM implementation in large infrastructure projects.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.

• Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.

• Experience in defining processes, workflows and procedure for setting up CDE platform in major projects

• Must have experience in software implementation and use

o Bentley (expert level)

o Autodesk ( min. intermediate level)
o Office 365 (intermediate / expert level). Power BI expert level will be positively considered.

• Demonstrable experience in defining training strategy for implementation within the project
