Initially create and drive implementation to generate value from a world class supply base, and develop organizational procurement strategy
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Create and implement a strategy that establishes an organizational procurement roadmap and generates value from a world class supply base.
Create and seek to improve best-practice based processes by developing benchmarks.
Manage the skill and competency development of buyers/procurement staff, including training, development, and knowledge management
Gain a detailed understanding of the existing procurement agenda through discussions with the Leadership teams.
Identify, plan and undertake strategic projects designed to drive forward improvements in procurement practices and expenditure.
Develop a standard, scalable, way of working with Procurement and communicate to relevant parties across the business.
Ensure the strategic sourcing approach is fully implemented and utilized as the standard approach.
Report on tangible and validated financial and non-financial benefits to the business deriving from strategic sourcing activity.
Capture identified savings and recognizing these through budget planning process.
Develop and actively manage strategic relationships with suppliers, ensuring business requirements are fully understood and met and that supplier performance is measured and regularly evaluated.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering
Successful management of $300+ Million spend
Track-record of successfully negotiating favorable terms for procurement
Strong experience in budgeting and cost management.
10+ years of progressive management and leadership experience, including: procurement, supply chain, and logistics
Proven commercial awareness and experience of delivering cost savings
Work Conditions/Physical Demands
Approximately 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment under normal office conditions
Ability to travel, domestically and internationally as needed
