Position Summary

This is a hands-on position supporting the company’s global IT infrastructure providing oversight, design, implementation, security and support for the performance, availability and reliability of the local and cloud-based infrastructures. This role will combine expertise in networking, cloud, virtualization and security to deliver business-driven technology solutions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for all IT infrastructure initiatives that the company requires for business operations. This includes (but is not limited to) networking for the local (LAN) and inter-office (WAN) networks, wireless networks, telecommunications and internet connections, servers and storage, cloud services, backups, printing, security systems: anti-malware, firewalls, email security, etc.
  • Provides staff support and troubleshooting for all IT equipment and software. This includes coverage of the IT Team support request queue. This position will directly handle orders and other IT needs, in addition to their team.
  • Works with IT vendors for product inquiries, technical service, orders, returns and repairs.
  • Manages IT-related expenditures to meet budgetary goals.
  • Maintains IT compliance with regulatory requirements such as HPIAA, ISO and PCI
  • Configures and installs equipment managed by the IT team. This includes (but is not limited to) computer hardware, peripherals, software, mobile devices, and desktop phones.
  • Setup / support projection and sound equipment for company functions.
  • Assist the CIO with other projects as directed.
  • Maintains documentation of sites, equipment, software, processes and procedures. 
  • Make sure all contractors carry out processes to ITIL standards.
  • Ensures consistent and effective delivery of services supporting corporate policies and procedures 
  • Communicates to other departments and functional groups on status, issues, budgets and problems.
  • Monitors customer communications and follow-ups on service improvements.
  • Troubleshoot network and system problems; Perform diagnosis on system problems, recommend and implement solutions or draw upon other resources and/or vendors to resolve.
  • Delivers Project management and coordination working alongside with the PMO.
  • Maintains documentation of sites, equipment, software, processes and procedures.

  • Experience in network WAN/LAN design, implementation and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience with network firewalls and other security appliances, and secure communications including VPN technologies along with security & compliance & network performance
  • Experience with System Design/Administration/Integrations/Implementations/Support
  • Knowledge of local and cloud-based server infrastructure (Active Directory and Windows Server, Azure, AWS)
  • Demonstrated experience planning, designing, implementing and maintaining virtualized infrastructure and connected storage arrays (VMware & Hyper-V).
  • Experience with project-based planning, architecting and delivery,
  • Experience working with teams using ITIL and ITSM frameworks.
  • Strategic thinking skills and ability to do tactical execution
  • Costumer focused oriented
  • High emotional intelligence with strong management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

Education and Experience

  • College 4-year Degree in IT with experience
  • 5 years of experience required
  • Industry certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Security, ITIL) highly preferred.
  • Project management certifications or experience highly preferred.
  • Spanish language would be highly preferred.

  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel to locations on a routine basis (20-40% per business needs).
  • The person in this will operate in a stationary position for significant portions of the day.
  • The person in this position will occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, copy machine, and printer.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is usually in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
