The role

‒ Organize and chair the SRG, as necessary, to review the results from the settlement monitoring against the construction progress. Make decisions, within the remit of the SRG, to ensure the settlement is adequately controlled.
‒ Attend weekly CTC meetings and contribute to discussions on I&M, settlement and asset protection.
‒ Organize and attend meetings as necessary on settlement and monitoring.
‒ Produce and maintain I&M drawings, I&M plans, Action Plans, baseline reports etc. as defined in FLO’s scope of works and agreement of same with Tideway and asset owners as required.
‒ Manage I&M data frequency and availability of information on the database. Rectify where information is missing or erroneous.
‒ Responsible for the interpretation of the monitoring results.
‒ Coordination with I&M Sub-Contractor, Tideway, Flo Teams and Third Parties as necessary.
‒ Liaison with Flo Programmers / construction teams, to ensure the I&M activities are contained and monitored in the overall programme, to ensure no conflict.
‒ Raise Contract correspondence to as necessary to Tideway and I&M Sub-Contractor.
‒ Support with the commercial & contractual aspects of the I&M subcontract as necessary.
‒ Prepare as-built documentation and quantities.

Key accountabilities

Safety:
‒ Ensure safe construction of Tideway MNTLB & MNTLC tunnels insofar as monitoring and control of settlements. Environment:
‒ Ensure works undertaken comply with Flo Environment Management Plans insofar as it applies to monitoring and control of settlements.
Quality:
‒ Ensure works undertaken comply with Flo Quality Management Plans insofar as it applies to monitoring and control of settlements. Engineering/Planning:
‒ Engineering responsibilities as listed above.
‒ Liaison with Flo Programmers / construction teams, to ensure the I&M activities are contained and monitored in the overall programme, to ensure no conflict.
Client/Communication:
‒ Coordination with I&M Sub-Contractor, Tideway, Flo Teams and Third Parties as necessary. Commercial:
‒ Raise Contract correspondence to as necessary to Tideway and I&M Sub-Contractor.
‒ Support with the commercial & contractual aspects of the I&M subcontract as necessary.
Accountabilities
‒ Ensure protection to 3rd Party assets along Tideway MNTLB & MNTLC tunnels insofar as monitoring and control of settlements.
‒ Ensure that works related to monitoring and control of settlements are delivered in a timely and cost efficient manner.

Skills & experience

General Skills and Qualifications:
‒ Proficient using Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
‒ AutoCad.
‒ Oasys XDisp & PDisp
‒ Surfer (GoldenSoftware)

Specific Qualifications:
‒ BEng Civil.

Additional Information

Behavioural Competencies:
‒ Good communication skills.
‒ Good a working in a team.

Technical Competencies:
‒ Experience in Geotechnical Design.
‒ Experience in Damage Assessments.
