Responsible for maintaining a safe roadway for the traveling public within roadway project limits.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Monitoring traffic using CCTV, system alerts, local media, the traveling public, law enforcement and other various tools.
Able to work in a team environment.
Able to coordinate with CDOT, Fire, Police and other agencies for a primary point of contact for company’s Operation and Maintenance (O&M) project limits.
Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Able to multi task in a fast paced environment.
Able to use radio communications.
May perform such other assignments as the Supervisor may deem necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient computer skills required. Typing skills of 20 wpm preferred.
Ability to monitor systems and alerts.
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and perform in a professional courteous manner.
Ability to communicate verbally and written in a clear and concise manner.
Professional customer service skills and ability to communicate with company staff as well as other agencies that work within our corridor.
Verbal and written skills in English
Ability to work 32+ hours per week or/ any shift as assigned.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
One year of work experience, preferably in Dispatch
Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
Work Conditions/Physical Demands
Employees working in this environment may be subject to a rotating or permanent shift that includes evening, weekend, holiday and on call emergency shifts.
Employees may be subject to all types of working conditions.
Highly developed sense of safety awareness and perceptive ability.
