The Foreman I provides management for construction crew and their material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and complete a job safety analysis every morning to address safety concerns to ensure the employees work in a safe manner.
- Oversee crew’s activities efficiently.
- Supervise, manage, and direct the training, development, appraisal and work assignments crew members.
- Have a strong understanding of the project plans for specific duties.
- Have a strong comprehension of blue prints and specifications.
- Manage tools, materials and supplies.
- Manage the equipment utilization.
- Immediate response to site production issues.
- Report the crew’s hours worked and code time accurately on daily timesheet.

Job Summary:
The Pile Driving Foreman is responsible for leading the proper layout, assembly, installation, and securing of piles in their proper location and embedment depth. This person will offer feedback during and at completion of job. Their key duty is leading the profitable installation of piles as set by the Superintendent’s daily schedule of production but will also assist in on-the-job training. Uses skills developed to work safely, efficiently, and correctly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands the project plans and specifications
- Understands this is a ‘working position’ and Leads by example to show that safety is the most important function, ensuring that all employees follow safe practices while working.
- Identifies potential schedule changes, workflow, and staffing issues for designated crew
- Plans, assigns, directs and oversees activities of designated crew to ensure that production goals and objectives of project or task are accomplished safely within prescribed time frame and contractual requirements
- Completes daily Foreman Report, tracks and logs daily production and crew timesheets, verifies accuracy and submits in a timely manner
- Trains employees on proper use of equipment, improving job performance, controlling cost and quality of work, increasing productivity, improving communication and housekeeping on project.
- Evaluates performance of employees and makes timely recommendations for promotions and disciplinary actions as may be required
- Performs pre-task meetings with work crew to ensure safe work practices, procedures and hazards are identified within the scope of the crew’s work assignment.
- Enforces established job site policies, procedures, and standards of performance within boundaries of company policy.
- Exercises judgement and uses discretion to troubleshoot and problem solve issues as they may arise throughout the course of the work.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Foreman I provides management for construction crew and their material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and complete a job safety analysis every morning to address safety concerns to ensure the employees work in a safe manner.
- Oversee crew’s activities efficiently.
- Supervise, manage, and direct the training, development, appraisal and work assignments crew members.
- Have a strong understanding of the project plans for specific duties.
- Have a strong comprehension of blue prints and specifications.
- Manage tools, materials and supplies.
- Manage the equipment utilization.
- Immediate response to site production issues.
- Report the crew’s hours worked and code time accurately on daily timesheet.
- Whatever enhances the operations of the company.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Safety Representative and/or supervisor.

Alamo NEX Construction, LLC is a part of the Ferrovial Group in Texas. In 2021, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) selected Alamo NEX Construction, LLC, a joint venture between Ferrovial Construction Texas, LLC and DBW, LLC (both Ferrovial Group subsidiaries), to complete the Interstate 35 (I-35) NEX Central Project. This project is a $1.5 billion Texas Design-Build (DB) project through the cities of San Antonio, Live Oak, Selma, and Schertz that will consist of non-tolled improvements along I-35, I-140, and Loop 1604. Summary
The position of Foreman will direct and manage the construction tasks and activities of craft and labor crews.
Responsibilities

Coordination of construction activities.

Provide direction to field and subcontractor personnel to meet schedule and production goals.

Scheduling field personnel assignments.

Assist in ordering materials. Receive and inspection materials delivered to the jobsite and provide the tickets to the superintendent or the manager.
