Jos\u00e9 Manuel Ballester (Madrid, 1960)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pintor y fot\u00f3grafo, licenciado en Bellas Artes en 1984 por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, recibi\u00f3 el Premio Nacional de Fotograf\u00eda 2010. Su carrera art\u00edstica se inici\u00f3 en la pintura, con especial inter\u00e9s por la t\u00e9cnica de las escuelas italiana y flamenca de los siglos XV y XVIII. A partir de 1990, empez\u00f3 a conjugar pintura y fotograf\u00eda. De entre sus numerosas exposiciones destacamos Setting Out (Nueva York, 2003), Habitaci\u00f3n 523 (Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sof\u00eda, Madrid, 2005) y Espacios ocultos (Real Academia de Espa\u00f1a en Roma, 2012). De forma colectiva ha expuesto en numerosas ocasiones en Arco, Art Chicago, Art Forum Alemania, Paris Photo y Art Miami, y en ciudades como Dallas, Par\u00eds, Miami, S\u00e3o Paulo, Dub\u00e1i, Pek\u00edn, Shangh\u00e1i y Toronto, entre otras muchas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Galardonado con el Premio Nacional de Grabado en 1999, el premio Goya de Pintura Villa de Madrid en 2006, y el Premio de Fotograf\u00eda de la Comunidad de Madrid en 2008. En noviembre de 2010 le fue otorgado el Premio Nacional de Fotograf\u00eda por el Ministerio de Cultura. El jurado le concedi\u00f3 el premio por mayor\u00eda por su trayectoria personal, por su singular interpretaci\u00f3n del espacio arquitect\u00f3nico y de la luz, y por una destacada renovaci\u00f3n en las t\u00e9cnicas fotogr\u00e1ficas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
