De all\u00ed, al Jarama, al Tajo y al Atl\u00e1ntico. <\/p>\n    \n\n\n<p>Sin embargo, quiz\u00e1 sin saberlo, millones de personas recorren a diario su cauce. Claro que el arroyo ya no est\u00e1 all\u00ed. Discurre bajo tierra tras dejarle su espacio a la M-30, la gran circunvalaci\u00f3n que rodea la almendra central de la capital espa\u00f1ola.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde su inauguraci\u00f3n en los a\u00f1os 70, la M-30 se extendi\u00f3 por la superficie de Madrid aprovechando desniveles naturales, como el cauce del Abro\u00f1igal, como medida de protecci\u00f3n e insonorizaci\u00f3n. Sin embargo, con el siglo XXI, la congestionada circunvalaci\u00f3n decidi\u00f3 que era momento de esconderse bajo tierra. En el momento de la construcci\u00f3n, era la mayor tuneladora EPB (Earth Pressure Balance) en uso. Con sus 107 metros de longitud y un di\u00e1metro de 15,62 metros, se encarg\u00f3 de agujerear 3.538 metros de subsuelo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Operativo desde 2007, el t\u00fanel norte del&nbsp;<em>by-pass<\/em>&nbsp;sur libera&nbsp;de tr\u00e1fico al&nbsp;nudo&nbsp;sur&nbsp;de la ciudad, bajo el parque de Arganzuela y el de Tierno Galv\u00e1n,&nbsp;acortando los tiempos de viaje hacia la A-3,&nbsp;la A-42 y la avenida del Mediterr\u00e1neo.&nbsp;En superficie, el tr\u00e1fico parece haber desaparecido.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo mismo sucede en los otros puntos de soterramiento.&nbsp;Mediante&nbsp;tres&nbsp;t\u00faneles&nbsp;(y un cuarto proyectado) que suman&nbsp;43 kil\u00f3metros en total, la M-30&nbsp;hace&nbsp;como el Abro\u00f1igal y se oculta&nbsp;de la vista de los madrile\u00f1os.
