Bridges and viaducts

Bridges are the connection between two points.

More specifically, they are a shortcut, a link between communities, a great work of engineering, or even an element of the landscape. All these descriptions make them a key structure for transportation.

In the past, their task was to reduce long distances. Today, in view of the challenges we face, bridges serve a higher purpose: a sustainable infrastructure which ensures greater traffic flow. They run through volcanoes, such as the Erques viaduct on Mount Teide; over lake lands, such as the Ostróda bridge in Poland; or along the coastline on the Portuguese Norte Litoral highway. In the end, viaducts like these cut through the landscape to bring us closer to one another, making us more connected.
