President’s Message: Launch of Ferrovial Together COVID-19 Funds

“I invite you to join the cause. We are doing it for everyone.”

Ferrovial set three priorities at the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis:

• Safeguard the health of all of us who work at the company, as a measure to curb the spread of the disease and guarantee the delivery of all the essential services we currently provide
• Preserve liquidity to ensure Ferrovial’s continuity in the event that the crisis persists over a long period of time
• Support the fight against the pandemic and center our efforts on our local communities that are most affected.

Within the framework of this third line of action, today I am announcing the creation of the “Ferrovial Juntos COVID-19” fund, endowed with up to 10 million euros by Ferrovial, with the goal of raising funds to fight the pandemic. The company will provide an initial endowment of 5 million euros and will match third-party contributions up to 5 million, with the goal for the company’s contribution to reach 10 million euros. For this purpose, we have opened an account into which employees, directors, shareholders, contractors, suppliers and anyone wishing to contribute can make a donation.

The funds will be used to buy healthcare materials and medical equipment, to support research into medicines or vaccines for COVID-19, and to aid vulnerable groups. The funds will be allocated with the utmost transparency in terms of beneficiaries, amounts and projects.

We are very proud of everything that Ferrovial employees are doing to build and maintain hospitals, crew ambulances, handle emergency calls and clean the streets of cities and towns, not to mention many other front-line activities in the fight against this pandemic. And also, the work that others, in their offices, are doing to find, buy and arrange urgent deliveries of critical supplies or even to develop new technology that can help those in need.
