Our Assets 

• Transchile

By means of Transchile Charrúa Transmission, we own, operate and maintain a transmission line that connects the Charrúa, Mulchén and Cautín substations in southern Chile, in the regions of Bío-Bío and Araucanía. 

The 220 kV double circuit electrical transmission line has a length of 204 kilometers and a transmission capacity of 500 MVA per circuit, and belongs to the National Transmission System. The line went into operation in January 2010 and supplies electricity to over 300,000 homes, connecting the hydroelectric energy sources in southern Chile to the central consumption areas. 

• Centella Transmission

In July 2018, we were granted 100% of a full concession to construct and operate a transmission line approximately 250 kilometers long (2 x 220 kV) north of Santiago, Chile, with a nominal capacity of 580 MVA per circuit. The new line will connect the Nueva Pan de Azúcar, Punta Sierra and Nueva los Pelambres substations, with Centella also making up part of the construction project; this will increase the connection of new renewable energy plants.

Ferrovial Construction will lead the $125 million construction project. Once the work is completed, Ferrovial Power Infrastructure will begin operating the line.  

• Tap Mauro

On February 2020 Ferrovial Power Infrastructure was awarded the concession for the construction, operation and maintenance of a four-circuit transmission line. This new asset has 3 km per circuit, connecting Los Piuquenes-Tap Mauro transmission line and Ferrovial´s new under-construction power substation Centella, located at the Coquimbo Region, northern Santiago. Commercial operation date is scheduled for 2023.
