(Ferrovial) Climate Risks and Opportunities

Ferrovial has identified climate change as a critical sustainability issue for its business activities and thus implemented sophisticated tools to deal with risk (and opportunities) from global change and regulations related to GHG emissions.  Identification, evaluation and management of risks/opportunities related to climate change are carried out under the global risk management system implemented in Ferrovial for the whole range of business activities, including all its subsidiaries worldwide (FRM: Ferrovial Risk Management).

Several measures for reducing risk or taking advantage of opportunities have been and are being implemented. However, from our perspective the skill of properly identifying risks represents an opportunity in itself. The abilities to identify, analyze and evaluate risks related to climate change have been improved by introducing new tools to assess environmental risk from a technical perspective.
