(Ferrovial) Environmental Targets and Indicators

 Ferrovial design its environmental targets from those developed in the production centers. Each center must establish some environmental target yearly, in order to minimize their environmental impacts.

The vast majority of targets are designed with an objective to reduce consumption of raw materials, maximize the reuse & recycling, and reduce GHG emissions.

In the same way as every production center has defined economical objectives, they have established too their own environmental targets, in order to minimize their environmental impacts. These targets are a key indicator of the commitment of the line of production with the continuous improvement of environmental performance.

The whole environmental targets proposed by the production centers are integrated into the Environmental Management System Database. These targets are quantified objectively in units of volume, weight, area, etc.  Each line of business manages its own database, whose integrated results constitute the environmental targets of the company. They are defined in a way that makes significant impacts be typified.
