Desalination is a well-established solution to the challenges of water supply, especially in coastal areas of the world that have fresh or continental water shortages with high salt concentrations.
We’ve built 32 desalination plants worldwide that have a combined capacity of over 1,200,000 m3 per day, including the outstanding examples of the Al Ghubrah plant in Oman (191,000 m3/day), the Al-Zawrah plant in Ajman (45,500 m3/day), and those at Rambla de Valdelentisco (137,500 m3/day), Águilas-Guadalentín (180,000 m3/day), Alicante (65,000 m3/day), and Ceuta (33,286 m3/day).
