We provide comprehensive solutions for developing and managing electrical transmission networks.
We add value throughout the entire life cycle of the infrastructure by taking advantage of the synergies created in the rest of our business in order to design, construct, finance, operate and maintain our assets. In continuous collaboration with our clients and interest groups, we are committed to offering operational excellence, high levels of safety and innovative solutions.
We have a total of 2160MW, making us one of the most relevant actors in Chile
Currently, our two principal electrical transmission assets combined under the Power Infrastructure brand are:
- Transchile Charrúa Transmission. Through this business unit, we operate and maintain a transmission line in southern Chile, in the Bío-Bío and Araucanía regions. This is a 220kV double-circuit line measuring 204 kilometers long with a transmission capacity of 500 MVA per circuit. Under the control of Chile’s National Transmission System, the line serves over 300,000 homes in the southern part of the country.
- Lightning Trasmission. In July 2018, we were granted 100% of a concession to construct and operate a transmission line approximately 250 kilometers long (2 x 220 kV) north of Santiago, Chile, with a nominal capacity of 580 MVA per circuit. The project also includes the construction of the New Substation Centella in the region of Salamanca. Meanwhile, Ferrovial Agroman is leading the construction project valued at $125 million. And through Ferrovial Power Infrastructure we will be responsible for managing the asset once the construction phase is complete.
It integrates all of the group’s electrical transmission activities
